Neelah blinked. Did he just ask her...?
"Well, uh, blue...I guess," she said, thrown for a loop. "I mean...it reminds me of the sky and the sea, both of which are calming. And yourself? Let me guess...black?"
She ignored the fact that it wasn't her turn, or that the pazaak game had long since been forgotten in favor of asking Xath more questions and trying to get what answers she could out of a creature of chaos...
But she wasn't bound to forget the little slip Xath had made previously. She would find out soon enough.

"Yes...and green, and white...and sometimes seven. Although it rarely decides to become a color...what's your earliest memory." ~Xath had lost all sense of order and rationality by now, but this stage rarely lasted long. Even through the chaos he knew he'd soon be able to think linearly.~

"Seven?" Neelah queried, not expecting an answer...or at least a logical one. She returned to the present question.
"My earliest memory is playing with my sister Kodir on my homeworld. What stands out most in my mind was the fact that it was a beautiful day and I thought that life would never get better," Neelah said sadly, "How right I was..."
Her memories were riddled with a synesthesia of sorts, blending her senses all into one. She could touch, smell, feel the memory as though it existed inside of her, to call up at will. She shook her head, ridding herself of the painful memories when she noted Xath's inquisitive stare.
"And you? What memories of interest do you have to tell me? Tell me a little about your master and your Sith teachings and training."
She sat back, making herself comfortable.

~Xath shrugged.~ "There is little to tell. Our first master was assassinated just as we arose from accepting his offer of apprenticeship, the blood never did wash off of our robe. Lady Lyrica took us on about ten years later, but she was attacked by the Sith, her mind cage and her connection with the Force stripped away, though it is gradually restrengthing. We have not been with this new master long enough to say much about it. As for our training...we have learn the ways of the Force as well as the usefulness as such emotions as rage and bloodlust to focus it. We have also learned of the cold cruelty that every being holds inside itself, caged by a thin thread of willpower." ~Xath shrugged again.~ "The last decade has not been so eventful by our reckoning. Though we have done much we have changed little. Not like the years before..."

Neelah covered his hand with hers. She could almost feel the combination of hatred and bloodlust within him.
"You spoke earlier of something I didn't understand. You said that you were an escaped slave," she said, keeping her voice level to still the trembling. "Please explain these events to me. I want to know. I don't care what you did in the past--whether it be good or bad--because it couldn't have been all bad, surely."
But before her thirst for knowledge could be quenched, a tall-looking Trandoshan entered the cantina, armed with a heavy repeating rifle. Neelah slunked down into her seat to avoid being seen.
"In a situation like this, it's best to pretend one doesn't exist," Neelah whispered to Xath, who didn't quite understand what was going on, other than the obvious fact that Neelah didn't want to be seen, and disappearing under the table seemed to be the easiest way of achieving that.
The Trandoshan first went to the bar's patrons, who failed to point him in Neelah's direction when a quick scan of the cantina's surroundings produced no results. After a while of bullying the cantina's other occupants, the Trandoshan came up to Xath and pointed the rifle into his face.
"You sss-een a female human? Goes by the name of Neelah." The Trandoshan sneered. "Big bounty on her head...sss-he owes me some credits."
The rifle moved a fraction of an inch higher.
"Ansss-wer me!" the irritable creature demanded, apparently unaware of just whom he was speaking to.

~Xath stood calmly and turned to face the Trandoshan.~ "Leave...now."
The creature just glared at Xath and moved to strike him with the rifle.
~It wasn't until after the Trandoshan had exploded through the door that most of the patrons realised what had happened. Blood dripped tediously down Xath's Vibrosword and the Force push he had slammed into the creature had maimed its head beyond recognition. Fists still clenched in welling anger Xath took a step toward the door and Force shoved the creature down the street into a power coupling. It would incinerate...eventually.~ "Perhaps we should find somewhere more private to converse?"

Neelah rose, a little afraid and intimidated by the display she had just seen. She was still grateful, though, that Xath had interceded when he did, or things might have gotten ugly...
"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea," she replied, "You lead the way. I'm not too familiar with this place beyond the cantina..."
